The role can be based in either Cairns or Townsville.In this RoleDevelop and implement operational policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality across both sitesLead, inspire, and develop branch teams in Cairns and Townsville to achieve individual, team, and business objectivesManage budgets and monitor financial performance to ensure targets are met and cost efficiencies are achievedFoster strong, collaborative relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders to support business growth and service excellenceChampion a safety-first culture and ensure full compliance with all health and safety regulations across both locationsMaintain regular on-site presence at both branches to provide hands-on leadership, oversight, and supportYou’re Likely a Match If5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse or logistics operationsProven track record in managing end-to-end operational functions across multiple sitesStrong understanding of industrial relations, including Enterprise Agreements and union engagementSolid knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety regulations and food-grade compliance standardsDemonstrates a proactive mindset with a strong drive to challenge the status quo and improve processesTakes ownership and accountability, consistently delivering logical, methodical, and solution-oriented outcomesLife in ALM at Metcash Experience a supportive and flexible work environment.
