Overview

As a Sales Account Representative at Hutcheon Pearce, you'll be the go-to expert for customers across your designated Area of Responsibility (AOR), guiding them to the right construction equipment solutions for their needs. Hutcheon Pearce offers compact construction gear to large-scale construction and agricultural machinery, forestry equipment to ride‐on mowers, and you'll offer tailored advice that helps drive customer success. You will be more than just a salesperson, you'll be a strategic partner staying ahead of product developments, finance options, and industry trends to deliver smart, value‐driven solutions. Build long‐term relationships, support local businesses, and help power productivity across multiple industries with a brand known for quality – John Deere.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the company in machinery sales, building lasting relationships with customers.
  • Stay informed on product features, perks, and competitive offerings.
  • Engage in ongoing sales training to sharpen your skills and industry knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate customer records using sales tools like EQUIP, Handle, and Sales Centre.
  • Follow a structured sales process to ensure smooth and successful transactions.
  • Conduct hands‐on equipment demonstrations in the field.
  • Assist customers with financing options to secure new and used equipment.
  • Support customers beyond the sale, working with Service Specialists to optimise equipment performance.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years equipment sales experience.
  • Knowledge of the Construction Industry and practices preferred.
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and Internet functions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret basic sales reports.
  • Attention to detail.
