A unique opportunity for an experienced Compliance Manager to join a well-regarded financial services business on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential to extend.
Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you'll play a key role in supporting the business across consumer credit compliance, incident assessment, reportable situations, marketing/customer communications review, regulatory change and senior management reporting.
This role requires strong, hands‐on experience with the NCCP Act / National Credit Act. You'll need to be confident assessing compliance incidents, determining breach significance, and forming clear recommendations on whether matters are reportable.
You'll be responsible for:
* Assessing compliance incidents involving consumer credit, NCCP and privacy obligations
* Determining whether incidents are breaches, significant breaches or reportable situations
* Preparing clear incident assessments, recommendations and internal reporting
* Reviewing marketing materials, promotional content and customer communications
* Providing practical compliance advice to business stakeholders
* Supporting regulatory change monitoring across consumer credit and financial services
* Contributing to reporting for senior management and governance forums
You'll bring:
* Experience in banking, lending, mortgages, asset finance, personal loans, credit cards or non‐bank financial services
* Hands‐on experience assessing compliance incidents and breach/reportability matters
* Sound knowledge of ASIC expectations, consumer credit obligations and financial services regulation
* Experience reviewing customer communications or marketing material
* Strong written skills, with the ability to document clear, defensible compliance decisions
* Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and challenging the business where needed.
Experience with ASIC reportable situations, RG 78, privacy incidents or remediation will be highly regarded.
