Coulson Aviation Australia is a subsidiary of global aerial firefighting company, Coulson Aviation.
We support Australian States and Emergency Service Organizations with the provision of aircraft and experienced team members.
The company operates across the world with a fleet of large aerial firefighting assets consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.
Our fleet includes Boeing 737 FIRELINERS, Hercules C130, Citation and King Air fire support platforms, CH47D Chinooks, UH60 Blackhawks and Bell 412 helicopters.
We provide rapid response capabilities using aviation assets.
About Our Work
Coulson Aviation Australia operate and manage New South Wales Rural Fire Service-owned aircraft in all aspects of maintenance, fleet support systems and management, and operating personnel.
Our teams perform aerial firefighting missions, transport flights, intelligence and scanning missions, disaster mitigation, search and rescue operations, and related activities.
Job Opportunity
We are currently recruiting Licensed Aviation Maintenance Engineers to be part of the Fixed and Rotary Wing locations in Richmond and Bankstown NSW.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot mechanical systems to identify problems, conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections, and repair components as required.
* Document maintenance activities and ensure that work sheets, logs, tracking updates and other required records are complete and submitted in a timely manner.
* Be responsible for tool control and the general condition, upkeep and housekeeping of any hangar, workshop or related work areas and vehicles.
* Participate in on-the-job and external training programs as required.
* Nurture a safe working culture and compliance with our Safety Management System and other company documentation.
* Other duties as required.
Requirements:
* Current CASA Aircraft Engineer Licence
* Previous experience disassembling, diagnosing, repairing or overhauling mechanical components
* Advanced Technical Writing Skills
* Above average computer skills
Preferred Experience:
* Ability to read and interpret printed instruction and/or drawings
* Previous experience using Computerized Aircraft Maintenance Program (CAMP)
