Karan & Co is partnering with VE Group to appoint a proactive and people-focused Safety
Coordinator to support safety performance across civil construction, transport and heavy
vehicle operations, workshop and maintenance environments, and the Brisbane head office.

coordinator who enjoys being both onsite and office-based, supporting teams to maintain
safe, compliant and well-managed workplaces across multiple divisions.
The Opportunity
This role will work from the Brisbane head office with regular travel to project sites. You will
support safety systems, conduct inspections and audits, assist with reporting and work closely
with project teams to embed safe behaviours and compliance across the business.
This role suits someone who enjoys a blend of field work and administrative safety
coordination, and who is confident engaging with people at all levels.
You Will Lead
* Coordinating and conducting site, transport and workshop inspections, audits and
compliance checks
* Safety inductions, onboarding and toolbox talk support
* Incident reporting, hazard identification and corrective-action tracking, including running
close-outs with supervisors
* Applying and promoting VE Group's Safety Management System in day-to-day operations
* Supporting Division Managers across Queensland
* Supporting supervisors to maintain and update risk registers
* Driving consistency in safety practices, documentation and reporting
* Coordinating safety activities and system improvements across project, transport and
maintenance teams
You Bring
* Experience in civil construction, transport/heavy vehicle or workshop/maintenance safety,
or a similar operational safety role
* Understanding of regulatory frameworks including:
– NHVR / Chain of Responsibility (CoR)
– ISO systems
– Federal Safety Commission (FSC) requirements
– Plant & equipment safety and compliance
* Ability to travel regularly and work closely with field, transport and workshop teams
* Strong communication skills and a practical, hands-on style
* Solid understanding of safety systems, compliance, documentation and reporting
* A collaborative approach with confidence building rapport onsite
* A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in safe operations across varied environments
