As a Senior Professional Specialist, provide clinical leadership and professional support to team leaders, clinicians, and administrative staff working within the FVCSS and in accordance with organisational policies and the professional code of conduct.
The Team:
The Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) offers a specialised counselling and support to assist adults, children and youngpeople, children who have experienced family violence.
This service is part of the Safe at Home service system, with a strong focus on the safety and well-being of victim survivors of family violence.
As a Senior Professional Specialist in the Family Violence Counselling and Support Service provide clinical leadership and professional support to team leaders, clinicians, and administrative staff working within the FVCSS and in accordance with organisational policies and the professional code of conduct.
The Role:
As a Senior Professional Specialist, provide clinical leadership and professional support to team leaders, clinicians, and administrative staff working within the FVCSS and in accordance with organisational policies and the professional code of conduct.
Assist the Statewide Manager Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) with coordination and management of statewide services provided by FVCSS in accordance with the Agency Policy, and legal requirements as part of the integrated service system known as Safe at Home Initiative.
Develop and maintain highly effective and productive relationships and manage networks with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders within government and the community sector.
You will need:
Comprehensive knowledge of family violence issues with demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the clinical and/or therapeutic management of family violence clients with complex care needs including the ability to liaise effectively with family members and other service providers involved with their care.
Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and the achievement of child and family-centred outcomes, with high-level understanding of the strategic, legal, and ethical issues relevant to the provision of FVCSS
Demonstrated ability to provide effective professional and clinical leadership and knowledge of contemporary management practices and quality improvement processes, including experience motivating staff members to achieve organisational objectives and supporting skill development through teaching, supervision, training, and mentoring.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:
$123,717 to $130,900 per annum.
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of ****

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.
Significant experience in Family Violence Support Services including knowledge of relevant legislation and therapeutic modalities for trauma resolution.
Working with Vulnerable People Registration (WWVPR)
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
Postgraduate studies in relevant clinical area/s, public health, health service leadership, or project management/research
Experience/credentialled for providing professional supervision
Current Driver's Licence
