Together we're building hope and possibility for all.Find out more about us and our purpose.**Your Opportunity**The Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service (DATS) in South Hedland is a community-based program supporting young people aged 12–25 across the Pilbara who are experiencing challenges related to alcohol and other drug use. Working within a trauma-informed, harm-reduction framework, the service focuses on strengthening resilience, building confidence, and helping young people navigate complex circumstances through tailored interventions, family engagement, and community this role, you will deliver frontline case management to young people with diverse and often high needs, supporting them to reduce risk-taking behaviours and achieve meaningful, long-term outcomes. While the position is embedded within the local community, this is an on-site position that also involves outreach across the region, providing flexible and responsive support. You will work closely with families, stakeholders, and service providers to build strong referral pathways and ensure holistic, wraparound care, while managing a dynamic caseload in a fast-paced and purpose-driven environment.**Your Key Responsibilities:*** Deliver comprehensive, person-centred case management aligned to best practice, supporting clients with both immediate and long-term needs* Conduct intake, assessments, and develop tailored case plans with targeted intervention strategies* Build strong, trusting relationships with young people, meeting them where they are at to encourage engagement and participation* Provide advocacy and coordinate referrals, working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure access to services* Deliver outreach support across the Pilbara, including transporting clients to appointments where required* Maintain accurate and timely administrative records, including case notes, reports, reviews, and data reporting* Facilitate capacity building and life skills development, while participating in case conferences and collaborative care planning**Requirements for Success*** Demonstrated experience in the AOD, community services, or human services sector, with strong case management capability* Relevant qualifications in psychology, social work, human services, or similar (minimum Cert IV in AOD or equivalent experience)* Strong understanding of Aboriginal cultural systems and protocols, with the ability to deliver culturally safe practice* Proven ability to engage young people with complex needs using a trauma-informed, person-centred approach* Experience working with challenging behaviours, maintaining client motivation, and supporting voluntary engagement* Ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously, and remain calm under pressure in a remote or regional context* Well-developed organisational and administrative skills, including accurate documentation, time management, and reporting compliance* First Aid Certificate is desired but not required* Full driver licence with no restrictionsBefore starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.**Your Benefits**To ensure our employees feel valued, empowered, and celebrated, we provide a range of employee benefits including:* Rewarding work – every day you know you're making a real difference* Not-for-profit salary packaging, reducing your tax (details via **AccessPay**)* Free external, confidential counselling and access to chaplaincy support* Volunteering opportunities* Opportunity to purchase additional annual leave* Extra leave including Mission Australia Thank You Day & Work Anniversary Day off* Pilbara Remote Benefits include: \* Additional $1,000 each year to assist with cost of living in a remote area \* 5 weeks Annual leave \* Access to up to 5 additional days Personal/Carers leave each year \* Rental Assistance of up to $200 per week \* Relocation allowance of $1,500 to assist in moving to the area**Our Culture**Our innovative and inclusive culture will ensure you feel valued at Mission Australia as you help Australians in need and develop in your career.We prioritise the safety and wellbeing of everyone, both within our team and the individuals we serve.We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive working environment.
