We are seeking skilled individuals to join our team of on-call firefighters. As an on-call firefighter, you will be responsible for a range of duties including attending fires and other emergencies, community fire safety work, and collaboration with other emergency services.
The role involves working from a local Fire and Rescue NSW fire station and requires a high level of availability across weekdays and weekends. You will be paid for attendance at incidents, training sessions, and community safety activities.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have the ability to learn new skills quickly.
Key Responsibilities
 * Respond to fires and other emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
 * Conduct community fire safety work and provide education on fire prevention and safety.
 * Collaborate with other emergency services to achieve common goals.
 * Maintain a high level of physical fitness and adaptability.
Requirements
 * A valid NSW driver's licence (minimum P1).
 * An Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
 * Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
 * Strong communication and teamwork skills.
 * Capacity to learn new skills quickly.
