What You'll Do As an RBGV Retail Sales Assistant, you'll deliver exceptional customer service across both sites, providing friendly and knowledgeable sales assistance while identifying opportunities to up-sell and enhance the visitor experience. You'll take pride in maintaining beautifully presented displays and well-stocked shelves, ensuring every product shines and every transaction runs smoothly. With a focus on building strong customer relationships, you'll help drive sales revenue and loyalty, while also supporting the daily operations of the store, from stock receipting and inventory checks to light cleaning and administrative tasks. Working collaboratively within the Retail team and alongside colleagues across the organisation, you'll contribute to creating a welcoming, engaging, and professional retail environment that reflects the values and standards of RBGV. The positions available can have either of the following rosters: Tuesday – Saturday Sunday – Thursday Either roster can be worked at Cranbourne Gardens or Melbourne Gardens, with the expectation that the incumbent will work 1 day per fortnight at the other store. Working hours will be 7.6 hours per day, between the hours of 8am and 7pm. With strong selling skills including cross-selling, upselling and closing, you'll confidently connect with visitors, offering helpful advice and creating memorable shopping experiences. Your cash-handling accuracy, POS proficiency and attention to detail will support smooth daily operations, while your initiative and adaptability will help you handle the challenges of a busy retail setting. A true team player, you'll enjoy collaborating to achieve shared goals, take pride in maintaining polished displays, and bring an enthusiastic, approachable attitude to every customer interaction.
