FEMALE Disability Support Worker - Herne Hill, VIC
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to provide in-home support to a female client located in Herne Hill, VIC. This role is based within a family home environment, supporting both the client and assisting the household with daily routines.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is proactive, caring, and comfortable working closely with families.
Shift Schedule
Thursday & Friday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
About the Role
You will provide person-centred support to a client living with a progressive neurological condition, assisting with personal care and daily routines while helping the household run smoothly.
The ideal candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude and be willing to step in and help where needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and manual handling support
* Safely operate hoists and other mobility equipment
* Assist with medication support in line with care plans
* Provide respectful and person-centred support in the client's home
* Contribute to a busy family household by assisting with light domestic duties
* Maintain clear communication and professional documentation when required
What We're Looking For
* Experience with manual handling, hoists, and personal care
* Experience providing medication support
* Understanding of progressive neurological conditions or willingness to learn
* A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to assist where needed
* Comfortable working within a family home environment
* Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach
Pay Rates
SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):
* Base hourly rate: $35.15
* Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $38.67
* Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $39.37
* Saturday: $49.21
* Sunday: $63.27
* Public holiday: $77.33
Essential Certificates and Licenses:
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working with Children Check
* First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Must have an Australian Driver's License and access to a fully insured vehicle
