Job Description:
As a Home Care Worker, you will be providing person-centered care and support to customers in their homes.
Your role will involve identifying and assessing customer needs, supporting them with daily living tasks, and encouraging them to exercise choice and control.
* Personal Care: assisting with toileting, bathing, showering, oral hygiene, and other personal hygiene needs.
* Meal Preparation: cooking, food preparation, and meal planning.
* Transportation: transporting customers to medical appointments, social engagements, shopping, and other outings as required.
* Social Support: providing welfare checks, fostering meaningful connections, offering empathetic companionship, and maintaining customers' connection to the community.
* Domestic Assistance: performing duties such as vacuuming, laundry, general cleaning, dusting, washing dishes, cleaning windows, cleaning carpets, making beds, and basic home and garden maintenance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Driver's license and a fully registered and insured vehicle.
* Current First Aid including CPR qualification.
* Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (desired but not essential).
* NDISWC and WWCC (or willingness to obtain).
* Experience in the use of technology such as smartphones and computer programs.
