Payroll Officer – Community Services Australia Ltd

About the Role
As our Payroll Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing in a close-knit, supportive team.
You will report directly to the Payroll Team Leader (or as otherwise directed) and work collaboratively across business areas to maintain high quality service delivery.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
* Manage end-to-end payroll processing including salary packaging, leave management, superannuation and administration.
* Process end-of-month payroll, manage accruals, and carry out quarterly and annual payroll reconciliation and close-off procedures.
* Provide proactive support to the Payroll Team Leader and Chief Financial Officer by assisting with a range of administrative and financial tasks, including preparing reports and offering informed advice as needed.
* Generate and analyse reports through data manipulation in Microsoft Excel, requiring a high level of proficiency in formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.
* Communicate with key stakeholders and respond to payroll enquiries

Skills & Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Payroll (or working toward it), or a similar qualification
* Demonstrated payroll knowledge and experience and the ability to apply resources and skills effectively to achieve high quality outcomes
* Strong independent work ethic and problem-solving ability
* Experience engaging with and supporting a range of stakeholders
