* Remuneration: $42.82- $52.27 per hour (depending on experience)
* Location: Perth Office – with travel required throughout Perth metro
* Employment Type: Permanent Part-time (0.6 FTE) – Tuesday to Thursday

Position
Join a supportive team, bringing your experience to provide essential advocacy supports on behalf of mental health carers across Western Australia.
Responsibilities
* Support and inform mental health carers, family and kin by ensuring they understand their rights, responsibilities, and available resources under legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Collaborate with mental health carers, family members and kin to problem-solve, provide guidance, and connect them with appropriate services, while maintaining accurate records and reports of engagement outcomes.
* Advocate for mental health carers, family members and kin within the mental health system, representing their needs and negotiating with other stakeholders and organisations to ensure their voices are heard.
* Facilitate education, training and support through workshops and programs that build carer advocacy skills, and strengthen awareness for stakeholders on carer rights and systemic supports.

Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. social work, psychology, counselling, nursing).
* Current Driver's license.
* Proof of Australian Working Rights.
Required Certificates
* National Police Clearance (within 6 months).
* First Aid Certificate.
* Working with Children Card.
