Field Sample Technician – ALS Environmental

In this role you'll support high‐profile clients and gain hands‐on experience in a dynamic field environment. We're committed to your development from day one, offering comprehensive training including first aid, 4WD, defensive driving courses and practical instruction in our sampling protocols and testing methods. The successful applicant will be responsible for completing field sampling services for our clients in Southeast Queensland.
The role offers sampling experience across several sectors including Health, Aquatic and Trade Waste Industries.
Day‐to‐day Responsibilities
* Visit client sites in a company vehicle to complete pre‐agreed sampling requirements around SE QLD
* Record samples for our clients and laboratory visibility
* Deliver samples to our Sample Receipt team in the Stafford laboratory to progress testing
* Identify opportunities to expand or improve our clients' experience and scope through on‐the‐ground observations and insights
* Assist in other laboratory sections as required
Core Responsibilities
* Adhere to all safety requirements and Journey Management processes
* Drive light vehicles, occasionally off‐road
* Calibrate and maintain field equipment
* Collect samples from designated sample points
Essential Requirements
* Environmental Science (or similar) tertiary qualification
* Field experience is desired but not essential
* A full, open driver's licence (manual highly regarded)
* Enthusiasm to learn and a positive attitude
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Clear attention to detail
* Strong communication skills
* Strong focus on safety
