RoadTek Gold Coast Operations are seeking a high performing and innovative Assistant Project Manager to join the Electrical team on a permanent basis.
RoadTek is a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads. We provide transport infrastructure solutions for projects across Queensland. The purpose of the Assistant Project Manager is to support the project management and delivery of assigned electrical infrastructure projects, including construction, maintenance, rehabilitation and preconstruction projects.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Assist to project manage the delivery of assigned electrical infrastructure projects and activities such as construction, maintenance, rehabilitation and preconstruction.
* Assist to project manage construction and maintenance electrical infrastructure projects within the business unit, including budgeting, programming, procurement, monitoring expenditure, controlling and reviewing priorities.
* Assist the Project Manager, prepare tender prices, provide expert specialist input and advice into the construction and maintenance processes, assisting with production rates, unit rates and local information.
* Development of project documentation and technical specifications to provide clarity for project teams on the required deliverables for the project, including scope, time, cost and quality.
* Implement and utilise project management techniques and management systems to assist in enhancing project performance.
* Assist to capture and share project outcomes and learnings, implement and foster best practice technology and project management methodologies across Transport and Main Roads.
* Undertake contract administration of projects while liaising with the client, subcontractors and suppliers.
* Assist with the review and provide input for quality, safety and environment management procedures to facilitate the delivery of road projects to a high and consistent standard.
* Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to electrical transport infrastructure activities.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
* Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
* Applicants must possess a current, valid Queensland \"C\" class driver's licence or equivalent.

Desirable qualifications and conditions
* Certificate IV Civil Supervision
* Certificate IV Leadership and Management
* Certificate IV Project Management
* Experience of installation and maintenance of Intelligent Transport Systems or similar equipment
* Experience with electrical works or similar
