Salary Range: $1,190 - $1,358 per 35 hour week + superannuation

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated educators to join our Children's Services team. As Educator, you will play a crucial part in planning and implementing high-quality, developmentally appropriate programs that promote the physical, emotional, cognitive and social development of the children of our community. By fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning, you will create engaging and inclusive activities that cater to individual needs and interests, all while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Collaboration is key in this role. You'll work closely with colleagues, families, and external stakeholders to create a positive and supportive environment for children. Building strong relationships with families and encouraging their active involvement in their child's learning journey is essential. Your ability to communicate openly, provide regular updates, and create opportunities for family involvement will have a positive impact on the children's growth and development.
In addition to your role in program delivery, you will ensure the well-being and safety of all children by maintaining a clean, stimulating, and secure environment. Responding to children's emotional, social, and physical needs with care and empathy will be vital, and you'll also ensure compliance with child protection policies and procedures.
We're looking for someone who's creative, patient, and passionate about working with children. If you have a solid understanding of child development and early childhood education, plus skills in observing, assessing, and planning activities, you'll thrive in this role. This position is located in the beautiful town of Coonabarabran, known as the Astronomy Capital of Australia, which is midway between Melbourne and Brisbane and is known for its beautiful landscape and stunning night skies. The town has medical services, excellent schools, a variety of sporting and social clubs and a thriving tourism Industry. With the nearby Warrumbungle National Park, which is also Australia's first Dark Sky Park, there is plenty to do and explore whether you're looking for adventure or relaxation.
Selection criteria include:
ACECQA approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is a minimum – it would be advantageous if you hold the Diploma or are working towards it
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications
Demonstrated understanding of the EYLF and NQF
Willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development
Understanding of work health and safety (WHS) in the workplace, commitment to a positive contribution to WHS in the workplace and compliance with Council and legislative requirements
Previous experience is desirable, but not essential
Class C driver's licence.
