The City of Karratha is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Group Fitness Instructor to join our team to help deliver high-quality fitness programs to our community Wickham Recreation Precinct. As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and enjoyable fitness classes that cater to a wide range of participants. Working closely with the Leisure Duty Manager – Fitness and broader recreation team, you will contribute to the ongoing development and success of our fitness programs while ensuring a high standard of service and safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
* Plan and deliver engaging, safe, and effective group fitness classes tailored to a range of fitnesslevels and participant needs
* Build positive relationships with participants and provide exceptional customer interaction beforeand after classes
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of fitness principles, with the ability to adapt programs and respond to industry trends
* Ensure all equipment is set up, used, and stored correctly, and that fitness spaces are clean and organised after each session
* Monitor and maintain health and safety standards, including identifying risks, responding to incidents, and following reporting procedures
What You Will Need:
* Relevant group fitness certification and experience
* Certificate III in Fitness
* Certificate IV in Fitness (desirable)
* Current First Aid Certificate
* National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
* Ability to work across operational hours
