Job Description
This is a permanent, full-time position commencing Term 4, 2025.
The successful applicant will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a school culture that promotes positive relationships between students and between students and staff, and engaging parents and the wider community in the educational work of the school.
Principals are responsible for being innovative and creative in the establishment of systems and structures to foster academic development and improvements in social and emotional development for students, as well as engaging a diverse school community in the educational programs of the school.
Principals possess a commitment to continuous school improvement and development of the instructional program, particularly the pedagogy of beginning teachers, and building networks with other agencies, other schools, and services in the community to benefit school programs.
Key areas include leadership of school development plans, achievement and student outcomes, teaching and learning practices, governance and compliance, finance and resources, HR management, communications and public relations, strategic partnerships, parent engagement and stakeholder relationships, data-driven decision making, coaching and mentoring, professional learning and development, curriculum and assessment design, business planning and budgeting.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Establish and maintain high-quality relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategies that promote student achievement, wellbeing, and engagement.
* Lead and manage school operations, including finance, human resources, facilities, and technology.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive professional learning program for all staff.
* Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions.
* Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and the wider community through various means.
* Build strong partnerships with external organizations to enhance student opportunities and outcomes.
* Manage budgets, finances, and resources to achieve school goals.
* Lead and manage change initiatives to improve student outcomes and school performance.
