Senior Developer
* Full‑Time Temporary opportunity to September 2027
* Salary Range $129,464 - $142,665 + super
* Location is flexible across Revenue NSW offices with hybrid working – Parramatta is where the team sits
The Senior Developer sits within the Land Tax team within Revenue NSW. The role is responsible for leading and guiding developers and contributing to the creation of large or complex applications that facilitate the achievement of business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Be a hands‑on developer while supporting team members and ensuring that delivered solutions meet the business needs and adhere to coding and design standards.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
* Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, such as system architecture, codebase, and best practices.
* Participate in testing and quality assurance efforts.
* Have excellent communication skills and be able to manage customer expectations.
Skills and Experience Required
* Experience in ReactJS essential
* Experience in Microservice and familiar with Microservice patterns is preferred
* Experience in AWS development
* Experience in Java development, Java 21+ desirable
* Experience in Springboot v2.x, Spring Data / Hibernate
* Experience in writing Unit and Integration tests for Springboot applications
* Experience in GITLAB
* Experience in SQL Queries, Oracle Queries
* Kubernetes concepts and components understanding would be highly desirable
* Should know how to run Spring boot apps in Docker containers and tune docker configurations
