The Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Senior Clinician to join the Youth Mental Health Initiative (YMHI). This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for experienced clinicians to work with young people experiencing complex and severe mental health concerns.
The YMHI provides trauma-informed, culturally safe, intensive therapeutic interventions and integrated psychosocial responses. The ideal candidate will have extensive post-graduate clinical experience and knowledge in providing evidence-based mental health assessment and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver trauma-informed, culturally safe therapeutic interventions and integrated psychosocial responses to young people experiencing complex and severe mental health concerns.
* Lead, mentor and supervise clinical staff to ensure delivery of strengths-based and recovery-oriented mental health care and treatment.
* Collaborate with headspace centres, community mental health teams and other partner agencies to enhance youth mental health pathways and services.
Selection Criteria:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA for Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists or Psychologists, or eligibility for membership of the AASW for Social Workers.
* Extensive post-graduate clinical experience and knowledge in providing evidence-based mental health assessment and treatment for young people and their carers.
* Ability to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgment to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues.
The role requires effective communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
