Join CYMHS in Toowoomba to make a meaningful impact on children, adolescents, and their families. As a Clinical Nurse or Mental Health Clinician, you'll provide high‐quality mental health care while working in a collaborative, supportive team environment. You'll help shape recovery journeys, contribute to ongoing service improvements, and be part of a committed network focused on strengthening wellbeing across the region. If you value connection, professional growth, and contributing to a service that truly supports its community, you'll thrive in this rewarding role. This role offers variety and the chance to make a lasting impact.
What Your Day Will Look Like...
In this role, you'll be part of a close-knit multi‐disciplinary team based in Toowoomba, working alongside experienced clinicians, nurses, and allied health professionals who share your commitment to child and youth mental health. Your time will be spent engaging directly with children, adolescents and families—conducting assessments, developing care plans, providing therapeutic interventions, and coordinating care that supports recovery and improves psycho‐social outcomes. You'll collaborate frequently with colleagues, community partners and other service providers to ensure each young person receives cohesive, person‐centred care. You'll contribute your clinical expertise to case discussions, provide guidance to students or early‐career staff, and support quality improvement initiatives that strengthen the CYMHS model of care across the Darling Downs region. You'll also play an active role in service development—participating in reviews, sharing ideas, using evidence‐based practice, and engaging in ongoing learning to evolve your skills. At times, you may support acute triage across the lifespan when clinical demand requires, adding variety and breadth to your practice. Through it all, your work will be grounded in compassion, respect, and a shared mission to make a lasting difference for young people and families in your community.
