Job Summary
Underground Production Mining Engineer – Permanent 8 days on, 6 days off roster (FIFO Perth–Leonora, DIDO, or resident).
Responsibilities
* Design and execute drill and blast plans for long‐hole open stopes and vertical capital development, including raise‐bore and box‐hole drilling.
* Support foreman and operators during production drilling and blasting, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and safety standards.
* Collate and review daily drill and blast performance data, assess long‐hole drilling and stope bogging performance, and identify capacity improvements.
* Coordinate explosive consumables to maintain an adequate supply.
* Perform logging, blasting, and production activities according to guidelines.
* Contribute to mine planning, stope shape optimisation, stope reconciliations, and level extraction plans.
* Identify and implement business improvement initiatives and support other mining team members.
* Liaise with external contractors regarding underground operational requirements.
* Maintain the accuracy of the 'Drill and Blast Guidelines' document.
* Assist in mine scheduling by identifying production constraints and opportunities related to drill and blast operations.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
* Sound relevant work experience in underground mining, preferably gold or similar.
* Strong ability to collaborate within a team.
* High enthusiasm for work and achievement of performance goals.
* Dangerous Goods Security Card (preferred).
