We are seeking an experienced and diligent Project Engineer (PE) / Senior Project Engineer (SPE) to join our fast-paced and comprehensive Construction team, to work on building high-end residential projects across all of Sydney.
Expectations of the role:
Responsibilities
* Work with the Project Manager to manage and deliver projects (or parts of projects) in line with project documentation, considering scope, quality, cost and safety requirements.
* Control a project (or parts of projects) on and off site, within time, quality, cost parameters and stakeholder relationships.
* Oversee quality management including necessary documentation and ensuring the implementation of company-wide processes.
* Provide overall technical coordination of the construction process, in conjunction with the senior project management team through the coordination and documentation of design and program requirements.
* Review and coordinate all design documents in line with the NCC, Australian standards and the requirements of the DBP Act.
* Produce and status the Design Documentation Program and Key Dates Schedule ensuring consideration and integration of the overall construction program.
* Status and monitor the construction program as required.
* Value engineering and Risk and Opportunities review.
* Safety In Design review and management.
* Provide a link between design, construction and sub-contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
* Work closely with the Project Manager and Quality & Compliance Manager (QCM) to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
* Maintain project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and project plans.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Building/Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
* Experience in a similar position on major building projects, preferably from a tier 1-2 environment, with a proven track record in project managing and delivering large-scale building structures (Residential).
* Passion for outcomes, driving safety, quality, and sustainability.
* Effective communication and stakeholder management skills accompanied by a collaborative nature.
* Residential construction experience is preferred.
* Demonstrates strong communication skills and a collaborative nature, key when engaging with multiple internal, external, and client stakeholder groups.
* Strong understanding of the DBPA, NCC and Australian Standards.
* Proven experience in the Class 2 building realm (Residential).
