Geospatial Operations Specialist
This role focuses on delivering accurate survey control and data management for efficient underground mining operations.
Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct routine underground survey activities including pickups, mark-ups, and other operational tasks.
* Maintain and update mine plans in accordance with site standards and operational needs.
* Deliver survey data and design files to support machine guidance systems and technical planning.
* Ensure adherence to site procedures and legislative requirements for survey data storage and management.
* Perform maintenance and calibration of survey instruments and software systems.
* Collaborate with other technical services personnel to facilitate daily production and development activities.
Requirements:
* Experience in underground coal mine surveying with a strong understanding of geospatial concepts.
* Tertiary qualification in surveying or equivalent field.
* Potential for registration as part of career development.
* Proficiency in relevant software including AutoCAD & Civil 3D.
* Expertise in using Trimble survey instruments, GPS, and total stations.
Key Performance Indicators:
The successful candidate will be measured by their ability to deliver accurate survey data, maintain high-quality mine plans, and ensure compliance with site procedures and legislative requirements.
