About the role
As a lead concreter / plant operator you will support civil construction and maintenance works across roads, drainage, and public infrastructure. Operate plant and vehicles safely while ensuring compliance with safety, signage, and maintenance standards.
* Lead small civil projects including set-out, levelling, concreting, trenching, pipe laying and earthworks.
* Maintain roads, footpaths and public areas, including pothole repairs, drainage cleaning and vegetation management.
* Operate and maintain plant, tools and light/medium trucks, performing checks and reporting defects.
* Follow OH&S requirements, roadwork signage regulations and complete other duties as directed.
* Permanent full-time position.
* Hourly rate is $35.04 - $36.79, equating to an annual base salary of $69,251 - $72,702
* Fortnightly RDO
About you
We ae looking for a gun concreter / plant operator with strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead others and prepare basic reports when required. Relevant civil construction qualifications, licences, and demonstrated plant operation experience are necessary to perform the role safely and competently.
Key Skills:
* Skilled in high-quality concreting.
* Positive communicator who gains cooperation from colleagues and contractors.
* Team player with the ability to guide and lead crew members when needed.
* Certificate III in Civil Construction (or equivalent experience) and White Card (OH&S Induction).
* Licensed and experienced in operating a range of plant such as excavators, trucks (MR/HR/HC), backhoe, skid steer.
