About the Role
We are seeking a capable and driven Underground Mine Planning Engineer to join our Contracting Division in a full-time role with Go Engineering. In this position, you'll be deployed to client sites to provide expert-level underground planning support across a variety of operations.
You'll play a key role in developing and executing short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans, collaborating closely with site teams to optimise production, enhance planning systems, and ensure operational excellence. This is a dynamic, site-facing role that requires technical strength, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes on behalf of Go Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
As a contractor mine planning engineer with Go Engineering, you will:
* Provide site-based underground planning support tailored to the client's operational needs.
* Develop practical mine designs and schedules using software such as Deswik, ensuring alignment with production targets and planning cycles.
* Maintain and update short- to medium-term development and extraction plans, incorporating geological data, operational feedback, and compliance requirements.
* Produce development layouts and stope designs, including associated documentation to support production engineering teams.
* Assist with the preparation and review of weekly and quarterly schedules, including drilling, blasting, and ventilation planning.

Your Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
* Minimum 3 years' underground mine planning experience.
* Proficiency in mine planning software (Deswik, EPS, or similar).
* Strong understanding of underground mining methods and operational constraints.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
* Manual (C-Class) driver's licence and full working rights in Australia.
* High level of self-management and the ability to work independently in fast-paced site environments.
* A proactive mindset with the drive to deliver quality outcomes and add value to client operations.
