A well-established business based in Liverpool is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their friendly and collaborative finance team on a temporary to permanent basis. Key Responsibilities
* Process a high volume of invoices and credit notes for selected suppliers.
* Raise payments via Sage and online banking platforms.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier accounts in Sage.
* Allocate payments and credits promptly and accurately to prevent outstanding transactions.
* Update internal payment sheets with correct amounts and supplier names in a timely manner.
* Escalate invoice queries to the operations team when necessary.
* Participate in weekly ledger balancing and downloads.
Skills Required
* Experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role.
* Familiarity with Sage (desirable but not essential).
* Solid organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Confident communication skills with a proactive approach to problem‐solving.
