* $110,966.87 to $131, Level B) + 17% super

About the role

Commencing in June 2026, an exciting opportunity has become available for an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join our team as a Lecturer. This area has achieved significant growth in recent years, offering students exciting programs of study including two Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) accredited degrees.

The successful applicant will have teaching strengths within the field of Clinical Exercise Physiology and Exercise and Sports Science. We are seeking staff who will take a key role in the ongoing design and development of innovative digital curricula for the Exercise and Sport Science and Clinical Exercise Physiology degrees, including the integration, coordination, and quality assurance of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and professional placement experiences.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record in teaching and education development — particularly in applied and professional contexts — and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, industry-engaged learning outcomes for UNE students.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will hold a doctoral qualification in Clinical Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or a related discipline, alongside current accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) with ESSA. You will have a demonstrated track record of high-quality tertiary teaching, with a drive to advance the scholarship of teaching and learning within the field. Beyond the classroom, you will possess excellent interpersonal skills and a proven capacity to build and maintain robust industry partnerships that support Work Integrated Learning opportunities.

The Faculty of Science, Agriculture, Business and Law (SABL) is an innovative collaboration of scientists, researchers, and academics designed to deliver outstanding education and practical learning.
