Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
* Understand a cut list.
* Knowledge of reading plans
* All Workshop cabinetry fabrication
* Laminating / edging / sanding / spraying / timber finishing
* Curved walls and doors
* Upholstery / Pinboards / Screens
* Knowledge of hardware and fixing methods
* General knowledge of all factory machines (Beam Saw, Driller, CNC etc.)
* Basic Understanding of site requirements and installations
* Quality Checking AS YOU GO
* Protection and palletising finished goods.
* Checklists – ensure all is packed as a complete unit including hardware.
GENERAL FACTORY RULES
* Punctuality & Reliability, adhering to set breaks.
* Minimal phone use
* Good communication is essential.
* Good personal presentation
* Attending necessary training
* Raising defects and issues with your supervisor promptly - ANY problem is best solved quickly.
* Commit to making today's factory run better than yesterday.
* Complying with any reasonable instruction related to health and safety.
* Understand the hazards, risks and controls associated with your job and report/document any incidents.
* Report environmental aspects and impacts.
Tasks
Project Tasks
* Assembly and shipping of COMPLETE workorders
* Minimize work in progress / unfinished goods lying around.
Daily
* Use of correct PPE always
* Ensure all equipment has been checked prior- to using.
* Tidy your workspace. An orderly factory is an efficient factory.
* Responsible for ensuring all parts and hardware is packed with joinery units prior to despatch
Weekly
* Attend weekly toolbox meeting and sign minutes
* Achieve targets 100% set by Operations and Production Manager
Monthly
* Observe any low inventory of hardware and advise supervisor
* Ensure both yours and the companies tools and equipment is accounted for and maintained
Quarterly
* Ensure your electrical equipment is up to date with test and tag (not more than 3 months old)
Annually
* Attend one on one meeting with your direct manager
Hours
We currently work a 40 hour week in 4 days and offer a 3 day weekend
Job Types: Full-time, Subcontract
Pay: $27.20 – $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
