Principal project manager infrastructure

Seeking a highly competent and driven individual to manage and co-ordinate the delivery of laboratory capital works projects across multiple facilities and hospital and health services. The role of Principal Project Manager Infrastructure is critical to project manage all stages of infrastructure delivery from conceptual design through to detailed design, FFE requirements, construction, commissioning, and transitioning activities.

Provide high level project leadership, expert advice and direction across the full project ligecycle, working closely with executive leaders, change management and communication teams to provide project updates and important information for impacted stakeholders.

This project is up to 12 months until 31/12/26.

Key competencies (role specific criteria)

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:

* Proven experience and knowledge to design and co-ordinate small, medium and large scale projects or work packages across multiple sites, including the management of risk and the planning, scheduling and tracking of activities and deliverables within a laboratory environment.
* Demonstrated ability to use high level communication, interpersonal, consultation, partnership, and negotiation skills to overcome issues, influence the decisions, action or perceptions of stakeholders and achieve project outcomes.
* Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in laboratory planning and design, and a working knowledge of laboratory workflows and service providers.
* Proven effective consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills for use in a complex project program/ project environment.
* Proven ability to quickly establish positive working relationships with cross functional teams, laboratory vendors and project contractors.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and manage one or more defined communication channels and/ or stakeholder groups and facilitate the business change decision making process and the planning and implementation of change.
* Demonstrated high level strategic, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills and an ability to work unsupervised whilst coordinating multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes and accountabilities.
* Experience in the compilation of program/ project information, maintenance of program/ project files and the preparation and presentation of reports in a capital works program context.
* Understanding of Queensland Government Project delivery frameworks and procurement processes
* Experience with capital works delivery processes.

Qualifications, registrations and other requirements:

* There are no mandatory requirements for this role however formal qualifications in project management will be highly regarded.
* Please detail any visa conditions you may have if you are not a permanent resident of Australia.
* The role will require travel across multiple PQ sites to conduct project work.
* The role will require to be in the office or on location across PQ Sites.
