We want individuals who have the drive and interest to work as part of a team. We can provide the training and tools for the right people. As a part of your new role, we will support you in completing a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations, as well as other training opportunities including a variety of plant.
This position works with a great crew, making sure we have essential water and wastewater services across the region. No two days are the same - you get the chance to not only carry out general labouring work (getting your hands dirty) but also get to work on some plant including diggers, excavators, back hoes, skid steer loaders as well as a jet vac (a huge, truck mounted vacuum).
About You
You're keen to learn and not afraid of hands-on work in all weather conditions. You can follow instructions, work safely as part of a team and have a reliable attitude that means your crew can count on you. Previous experience in labouring, trades assistance, landscaping or similar outdoor work is valued, but your willingness to develop new skills and contribute to getting the job done is what we're really looking for.
At Council, we believe in looking out for each other and the community we serve. Whether you're out in the field or helping customers face-to-face, our values—wellbeing, inclusion, commitment, and transparency—guide everything we do.
We're looking for people who bring a positive attitude, take pride in their work, and support their teammates to do the same.
