This includes maintaining the highest level of quality and supervising all trade and field personal, while also administering good construction safety practices with all on site activities. They also maintain the job site and close out the project. This position is based in Starbase, Texas (Brownsville/South Padre Island Area).RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinate and supervise all construction activitiesDirect all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to the original plans and specificationsMaintain the construction schedule, identify and solve problemsCoordinate material and equipment deliveries and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the construction processUnderstand the project plans, specifications and SpaceX construction purchasing systemsMaintain a positive relationship with the SpaceX end user, contractors, suppliers, and other SpaceX employeesCommunicate changes in schedule and supervises completion of the final punch list including general site cleanupPromote job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards immediatelyHold weekly "tail gate" job safety meeting with the on-site contractors, vendors and suppliersEnsure all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policyResponsible for safety and security coordination for upcoming construction projectsResponsible for obtaining and auditing contractor daily reports, staying ahead of budget, and communicating change ordersMaintain an organized job site and on-site construction "office"Interface with site facilities team to maintain site, site facilities, and office functionalityManage day-to-day crane activities and contractor cranes, operators, and riggersBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:5+ years of experience in the construction industryExperience with concrete construction, earthwork, and basic steel structuresPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Experience managing multiple projects and working all phases of constructionWorking knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, ExcelSelf-starter, highly motivated and goal orientedExcellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on qualityOrganized with a systematic approach to task to achieve accuracy and efficiencyWell-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalitiesAnalytical with the ability to examine issues from multiple viewpointsAbility to operate general construction equipmentAbility to operate and manage truck/trailer for movement of materials around siteGreenfield site development experienceKnowledge and familiarity with general construction practices, permitting, and regulationsADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:This position is based in Starbase, TX (Brownsville) and requires being onsite - remote work not consideredAbility to perform hands-on work in all environments (heat, cold, rain), in tight quarters or at heightsAbility to stand for extended periodsITAR REQUIREMENTS:To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. * 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. * 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
