About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and customer‐focused Visitor Information Officer to deliver exceptional visitor experiences and support the growth of our regional tourism economy. You will provide high‐quality, friendly service, insightful local knowledge and a warm, welcoming presence at the Visitor Information Centre located within the Alfred Deakin Centre and Mildura Riverfront. Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for promoting our region are essential and experience in tourism, retail or hospitality will be highly valued.
What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
* Ability to create attractive sales floor displays and make sure that our product is prominently displayed.
* Qualifications in relevant field such as Certificate III in Tourism or Retail or relevant experience in sales, retail and/or customer service role.
* Intermediate level computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and Social Media platforms, along with a willingness and ability to learn industry and Council specific software programs.
* Experience in using the Adobe Suite of programs would be an advantage.
* Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one.
* Hold a current drivers licence
Salary and conditions
The position is classified within Band 4 of Council's Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $35.73 per hour statutory superannuation.
