We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join a high‐performing QLD Service Team on a fixed‐term contract (12‐24 months), supporting customers across Townsville and surrounding North Queensland regions.
About the Role
In this field‐based position, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a broad range of medical and patient‐handling equipment to ensure safety, compliance and reliability. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Performing repairs, maintenance, testing and preventative servicing
* Responding to breakdowns and providing timely technical support
* Delivering high‐quality service to aged care and acute care customers
* Supporting and promoting service contracts where appropriate
* Completing accurate service documentation and compliance reporting
* Managing spare parts and maintaining stock accuracy
* Ensuring safety, compliance and product integrity at all times
* Travelling across the wider Townsville and regional QLD area as required
No two days are the same, and the quality of your work will directly support patient safety and care outcomes.
About You
You are a technically skilled, customer‐focused professional who is comfortable working autonomously while contributing to a collaborative service team. You will bring:
* Previous field service experience (healthcare or service‐based industry preferred)
* Strong fault‐finding, diagnostic and problem‐solving skills
* A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
* Ability to manage workloads, KPIs and service targets effectively
* Confidence using hand tools, power tools and testing equipment
* Comfortable using tablets/iPads and digital service systems
* Strong communication skills, professionalism and a positive attitude
* A current QLD Class C Driver's Licence
