Station Manager Role
This 200,000-hectare pastoral property is seeking a seasoned leader to oversee its livestock operation and integrate with Australia's largest Human-Induced Regeneration (HIR) Carbon Project.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for station operations, staff management, livestock programs, and capital projects.
* They will implement land management strategies aligned with the carbon project goals.
Main Responsibilities:
Pastoral Operations:
* Maintain and monitor water points, troughs, pipelines, and tanks ensuring optimal livestock health.
* Ensure regular property maintenance, including fences, yards, outstations, vehicles, equipment, and general station infrastructure.
Carbon & Land Management:
* Deliver on-ground requirements of the HIR Carbon Project by implementing sustainable land management practices.
* Contribute to reshaping whole station operations to maximise new income streams through innovative land use and grazing systems.
Leadership & Reporting:
* Lead and support a small on-station team, coordinate contractors, and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
* Develop and maintain effective communication channels to report progress, share knowledge, and facilitate collaboration among team members.
