Community Service Supervisor
An exciting opportunity exists for a casual Community Service Field Supervisor to join the Maroochydore Community Correction office.
Staff aim to protect the community and reduce reoffending by supervising offenders in their local communities, promoting pro-social attitudes and behaviours.
This role will contribute to the delivery of community service programs by supervising and directing on-site activities of community service workers on various projects. Responsibilities include observing performance, ensuring compliance, and fulfilling mandatory reporting requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Plan, organize, and allocate work tasks to community service workers to progress or meet project requirements.
* Maintain effective relationships with community service workers and community groups managing projects and sites.
* Verify equipment and clothing are adequate and safe for use, and community service workers are fit for duty, including proper attire and possession of necessary cards.
* Issue appropriate tools, personal protective equipment, and clothing, following WH&S guidelines.
* Provide instructions and training in safe work practices, monitor proper tool handling, and ensure adherence to WH&S standards.
* Supervise and record timely observations to ensure accurate mandatory reporting and monitor site conditions to ensure compliance with QCS workplace health and safety guidelines.
* Complete associated paperwork, including incident reporting, and notify Parole and Probation Office as necessary.
* Maintain electronic records using QCS applications and systems, adhering to file management procedures, confidentiality, and guidelines.
Additional Requirements:
* Experience in natural area management and bushland regeneration is highly desirable.
* The incumbent will be required to undertake professional development and relevant training as needed.
* A valid C-class driver's license may be required for certain locations.
