Director, Tax, Accounting & Business Advisory
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a senior accounting professional to step into a Director-level role within a highly regarded, integrated wealth management and accounting advisory firm.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing, advisory-driven environment and is looking to move beyond compliance into a broader leadership and advisory role, with a clear pathway to equity.
The Opportunity
You will join a well-established business with a strong reputation across both wealth management and accounting, working with a high-quality client base of high-net-worth individuals, families, and SME business owners.
With the upcoming retirement of a senior partner, this role offers the chance to step into a visible leadership position, take ownership of key client relationships, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the accounting division.
You will focus on developing client relationships, strategic tax and business advice, and leadership and growth
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value clients (HNW and SME)
* Lead client meetings and act as a trusted advisor to business owners and high net-wealth family groups
* Provide strategic tax advice, structuring, and business insights
* Review and oversee compliance work (prepared by the broader team)
* Identify and deliver business advisory opportunities
* Work with internal wealth advisors to deliver holistic client outcomes
* Contribute to the leadership, growth, and strategic direction of the firm
* Mentor and develop a team of accountants
About You
You are a commercially minded, relationship-driven accountant who enjoys working closely with clients and adding real value beyond compliance.
You will bring:
* Significant experience in public practice, ideally at Senior Manager or Director level
* Strong client relationship and communication skills
* Experience advising business owners and/or HNW clients
* A genuine interest in business & tax advisory and strategic thinking
* Leadership capability with a collaborative approach
* Interest in equity/ownership (highly regarded)
