As the Practice Manager, you will bring your expertise, product knowledge and customer service skills to deliver and develop outstanding experiences for our patient. You will play a role in guiding the patient through frame and lens selection, ensuring optimal visual outcomes, comfort and style. Your experience and mentoring abilities will support less experienced team members and contribute to the ongoing success of the practice.
Qualifications & experience
* Demonstrated expertise in high-end dispensing, lens technologies and frame selection.
* Minimum 5+ years of optical dispensing experience required
* Optomate Software experience preferred
* Strong interpersonal and communications skills
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
* A passion for delivering outstanding customer service
* Ability to perform frame fitting, adjustments and repairs
Key responsibilities
* Dispense Optical appliances including prescription glasses, sunglasses and speciality lenses with a high degree of accuracy
* Provide expert advice and training on frame selection, lens options, coatings and styling based on client needs and preferences.
* Accurate provision and training for lens centration and height measurements
* Ability to stream line and problem solve front reception issues through innovation and application of prior knowledge.
* Maintain up to date knowledge of optical products, technologies and industry trends for all staff
* Provide mentorship and training of less experienced team members
* Ensure exceptional patient care and satisfaction throughout the customer journey
* Assistance with practice advertising, including social media.
* Assist in Policy and Procedure, Inventory Management, Ordering and Stock presentation
* Interpret prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists and liaise where necessary.
