Our finance team is a key component of the business, providing crucial support to senior management to review performance and guide decision-making.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate processing of accounting transactions and the production of timely month-end reports. You will work closely with and provide support to the Financial Controller and General Manager in a role that is integral to our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of Monthly management reports.
* Perform accurate bank reconciliations across multiple currencies.
* Process accounting transactions in our Pronto ERP system, applying detailed tracking categories.
* Maintain general ledger reconciliation workpapers and the intercompany loan matrix.
* Manage and maintain the Fixed Asset register.
* Regularly update the cash flow forecast.
* Prepare and lodge ATO submissions, including IAS and BAS.
* Assist in the preparation of the Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) return.
* Prepare accurate balance sheet reconciliations with detailed variance analysis.
* Coordinate with the General Manager and department heads to assist in budget preparation.
* Prepare financial statement templates and supporting documents for external audits.
* Liaise directly with external auditor to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance.
Business and Management Systems
* Maintains the integrity of the company accounting system to record all transactions correctly in the records and ensure internal control procedures are adequate.
* Ensure the business system at the Branch are adequate for effective daily management of the business to record sales orders; despatches; invoicing; collections; inventory purchasing and payments to supplies
Key Selection Criteria:
* A strong passion for working in manufacturing environment, particularly in monitoring inventory, costings, and Bill of Materials.
* Strong existing knowledge of the Pronto ERP system.
* Current progress towards your CA or CPA qualification.
* Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work independently.
* Experience working with international entities within a corporate group.
* A proven ability to adhere to a structured month-end process and meet reporting deadlines.
* Excellent collaboration skills with experience working across multiple departments.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships with all stakeholders.
