Reporting Officer (Mackay, QLD)
ALS Coal are looking for a Reporting Officer, due to increased business demands, you will be a motivated and detail-oriented Reporting Officer to join our team at the Mackay site, QLD with the ability to work autonomously.
In this full-time position, you will play a key role in managing turnaround times and maintaining high levels of client service, particularly in relation to the superintending and reporting of laboratory results. The role is Monday to Friday and reports directly to the Superintending Reporting Supervisor in Mackay, with regular communication with the Newcastle-based shipping and management teams.
Day to Day -
* Performing data validation and generating/reviewing reports, particularly for marketing and shipping samples.
* Liaising directly with customers to ensure accurate and timely information.
* Assisting with the dispatch of samples both domestically and internationally.
* Preparing work instructions and labels for sampling, preparation, and analysis tasks.
* Managing daily and ad-hoc reporting and data validation tasks.
* Supporting laboratory or sample preparation activities when needed, including during staff shortages or when assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Proven ability to manage daily priorities and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* A proactive attitude towards safety, quality, and teamwork.
* A sound understanding of coal sampling and analytical testing operations.
* Previous experience (1-2 years) in a coal analytical or preparation laboratory is advantageous but not essential.
Additional Information
* Remuneration will be based on skills and experience.
* All applicants must be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical examination, including drug and alcohol testing.
