Skiddy's Diesel Services is a trusted, down-to-earth business specialising in heavy diesel maintenance, repairs, and hydraulic hose services. We're a close-knit team that takes pride in delivering quality work and genuine customer service. We're currently looking for a Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join us full-time, with the potential to step into a leadership/workshop supervisor role down the track.
What the role looks like:
* Full-time hours with a flexible start date (ideally October/November 2025)
* Hands-on mechanical servicing, maintenance and repairs
* Working both independently and collaboratively with the team
* Scheduling jobs with the team to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction
* Occasional overtime and after-hours call-outs (one week per month on rotation)
What we're looking for:
* Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Cert III in Mobile Plant Technology or Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology)
* ARC Air Conditioning Licence (Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology – must be current)
* MR/HR Truck Licence & Forklift Licence (desirable but not essential)
* Experience with hydraulic hose assembly and identification (preferred)
* Solid problem-solving skills and ability to manage jobs independently
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Team-oriented, approachable and easy to work with
* Someone who's friendly and takes pride in doing the job right
