We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced People Partner to work closely with managers and senior leaders to shape culture, drive strategic workforce initiatives, and uplift leadership capability in alignment with the organisation's vision to create enduring profitability for Australian grain growers.
Reporting to the Head of HR, who is based in Canberra, this role is open for candidates in either Canberra or Adelaide.
Your Impact
Employee Relations & Culture
Lead and resolve high-impact ER matters, including grievances, misconduct, and mediation.
Build a culture of fairness, inclusion and accountability aligned to GRDC's values.
Be the trusted advisor for senior leaders navigating complex people challenges.
Leadership Development
Work with and coach managers to lift leadership capability.
Partner with L&D to roll out high-impact programs that drive performance and engagement.
Performance & Conduct
Support leaders to manage underperformance constructively and confidently.
Guide policy development to support a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Strategic Workforce Advice
Provide big-picture workforce advice, including planning, structure, and workforce mix.
Advise on talent strategies that align with business goals and capability needs.
Identify risks and gaps, and co-design solutions that build future readiness.
Recruitment
Support recruitment with smart, fit-for-purpose strategies.
Deliver strong hiring practices and assess capability/leadership/culture fit.
What you'll bring:
HR/Business-related tertiary education (essential)
AHRI membership (CPHR or working towards) highly regarded
5+ years' experience in a similar HR Advisory or HR Partner role
Expert knowledge of Fair Work and employment legislation
Strong experience in ER, coaching, performance and change
Confidence influencing and partnering with senior leaders
High emotional intelligence, discretion, and adaptability
Mandatory Requirements:
Must be prepared to travel as required.
Must be willing to undergo all Pre-employment Medical checks.
