We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer or Construction Manager to provide contract administration support to the Program Delivery Team for infrastructure projects in civil, building, electrical and signalling as well as other disciplines.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Provide contract administration for all aspects of development and delivery of multiple contract types to achieve construction and operational safety, compliance to technical standards, and contract requirements.
- Manage stakeholder aspects including pre
- tender issues, scope changes, and reporting.
- Attend design and contract meetings.
- Review design drawings and measure material quantities as required.
- Monitor the program and prepare contract management reports.
- Liaise with Construction Inspectors.
- Review Contractor claims.
- Identify and manage Contractor's dispute and performance deficiencies.
- Develop and maintain strong customer, contractor, supplier and stakeholder relationships which support the achievement of contract and project objectives.
**Experience and Skills required**:
- Ideally a qualification in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Experience in the administration of contracts for rail infrastructure and/or rail system supply/installation works.
- Knowledge of the requirements for railway construction and maintenance.
- Experience monitoring budgets and preparing contract management reports.
- Knowledge of the relevant Australian Standards.
- High level of interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- High level of negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience as a Superintendent's Representative would be an advantage.
