The Shire of Yilgarn is seeking a capable and progressive Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation, support Council in delivering effective governance, and drive the implementation of strategic objectives.
The role requires strong legislative knowledge, sound judgement, and the ability to provide well‑informed advice to Council.
You will oversee the Shire's administration, strengthen corporate and financial management, guide major projects, and foster a high‑performance culture.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential to build effective relationships with Councillors, staff, the community, ensuring the Shire delivers quality services.
Employment will be offered on a performance‑based contract for a term of three to five years, with a total remuneration package to be negotiated between $182,109 and $300,370, in accordance with SAT Band 3.
The package will reflect the candidate's qualifications and experience and will include a base salary, superannuation, allowances, private use of a motor vehicle, and a newly constructed executive residence.
Eligibility for a Regional/Isolation Allowance may also apply, and eligible relocation expenses will be considered as part of the overall package.
