We are seeking an energetic, customer-centric manager, who is obsessed with the details that make good hospitality great. Ready to hit the ground running to help shape and launch the Idée Fixe hospitality experience, you’re a strong communicator and leader with excellent people skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for wine, fine dining, and Margaret River Blanc de Blancs. You’ll thrive on delivering outstanding experiences, and inspiring your team to do the same in this dynamic, hands-on and evolving role that commences prior to the opening of the Estate.
You’ll work within the Heytesbury Wine Group (HWG), owners of Vasse Felix and the Margaret River Hotel, to deliver the strategic plan for Margaret River’s all new, dedicated Blanc de Blancs house incorporating the cellar door, restaurant and wine tourism offers. An appreciation of world class hospitality delivered to the highest standard, every time is essential.
This position is perfect for a motivated individual with 5+ years of hospitality leadership experience, preferably with established cellar door, dining and tourism credentials.
Responsibilities Include;
* Recruit and manage a fresh hospitality team at Idée Fixe including development of a training program.
* Translate the Estate vision into an operational program to deliver customer experience excellence and sales success.
* Help devise and deliver benchmark experiences for wine tasting, education and dining at Idée Fixe.
* Manage the Estate event and visitation calendar, working with internal and external stakeholders.
* Personally host general visitors and VIP guests from trade, media, club and tourism, representing the Estate.
* Manage procurement of service items and capital equipment.
* Support the Estate team and HWG Management through budgeting, inventory planning and reporting.
* Nurture relationships with key tourism and industry partners.
* Work with Estate grounds and maintenance to ensure the highest standards are maintained
Skills and Attributes;
* 5+ years of experience in a premium hospitality leadership position.
* Exposure to fine wine trade with a particular appreciation for the nuances of traditional method wines.
* A track record of leading high-performing teams and achieving commercial results.
* Dynamic self-starter comfortable working with other managers in a collaborative environment.
* Level-headed and well organized with the ability to balance multiple responsibilities and priorities.
* Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage meaningfully with staff, customers and a variety of stakeholders.
* Experience with Lightspeed POS and Commerce 7 would be an advantage.
* Experience in successfully delivering a new hospitality venue launch would be an advantage.
