**About the Role**
The Senior Mental Health Clinician will work alongside the Team Leader to provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and oversee daily operations to ensure optimal team performance and service delivery.
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (Grade 3) or Social Worker (Grade 3) with extensive relevant experience and a proven track record in the field.
**Key Responsibilities**
Provide evidence-based best practice care, reflecting the expertise and experience required for the role
. Ensure care aligns with the Mental Health Act 2014, promoting voluntary treatment, protecting rights, and supporting decision-making with patients, families, and carers
. Offer specialist support through consultation, addressing complex needs and prioritising treatment options for clients and their families
. Develop, implement, and review treatment plans for complex patients, targeting biological, psychological, and social needs with evidence-based strategies
**Skills & Experience**
Relevant qualification in a health-related discipline (psychology, nursing, social work, or occupational therapy); current registration where applicable. Occupational Therapist Grade 3 and Social Worker Grade 3 typically require 7 years of experience with specific knowledge in their field
. Psychologist Grade 3 requires registration and at least 5 years of experience as a Grade 2 psychologist
In-depth knowledge of contemporary evidence-based treatments and the ability to coordinate clinical responses within a multidisciplinary team
. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
. Demonstrated leadership skills in mentoring, teaching, and supervision, with a high level of integrity and professionalism
