This is a permanent full‐time position commencing Term 3, 2026. Ashfield Primary School (PS) prides itself on meeting the educational and social needs of all our students. We are seeking a highly capable, motivated, and community‐focused Manager Corporate Services (MCS) to join our leadership team. The MCS is an integral member of the school's leadership structure and plays a critical role in ensuring the effective and efficient management of the school's operational, financial and administrative functions. Ideally, we are looking for a high‐performing professional with leadership and management experience, strong professional knowledge, and a commitment to excellence.
In this role, the successful applicant will work collaboratively with the Principal and school staff to build and sustain a culture of trust, accountability and high performance across all aspects of school operations. As MCS, you will think strategically about identifying innovative and practical solutions to challenges and contribute to the ongoing improvement of systems and processes aligned to the school's Business Plan.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing strategic oversight of financial, physical and human resources.
* Leading and building the capacity of administrative and support staff through effective professional learning and performance management.
* Ensuring sound financial management practices, including budgeting, monitoring and reporting.
* Contributing to the development, implementation and review of business and operational plans.
* Supporting compliance, governance and occupational health and safety systems to maintain a safe and effective working environment.
* Working one day per week at the front desk, undertaking school officer responsibilities, requiring a high level of organisation, adaptability and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service to students, families and staff.
The successful applicant will ideally show:
* Highly developed leadership skills with a focus on delivering strong business outcomes and customer service excellence.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across the school community.
* Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation and the application of financial and accounting practices.
* Ability to contribute to strategic planning, including business and marketing initiatives.
* Sound human resource management skills, including the application of HR practices and systems.
* Strong conceptual, analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* A comprehensive understanding of the operational requirements of a primary school setting.
