Job Title: Recruitment Business Partner - Promotions (Temp)
Location: Blackburn (Eastern Suburbs) VIC – Hybrid WFH Flexibility
Salary: $62 per hour + super
Contract: 5 Jan – 12 March 2026
About The Role
The successful candidate will lead and coordinate the operational promotional pre-selection and selection processes. This pivotal role ensures that best practice recruitment and selection activities are maintained in line with legislative frameworks and enterprise agreements. You will play a key part in supporting the frontline by managing the end-to-end promotion cycle for operational staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Process Management: Manage and lead the delivery of end-to-end recruitment strategies for operational promotion pre-selection processes.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and foster constructive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior operational employees and industrial partners.
* Assessment & Selection: Coordinate all aspects of selection, including reviewing eligibility, drafting memoranda, developing assessment materials, facilitating assessment centers, and acting as an HR representative on interview panels.
* Candidate Care: Provide a high level of professional candidate care, ensuring applicants are well-informed and prepared for each stage of the selection process.
* Continuous Improvement: Review and update promotional processes, candidate study guides, and interview materials to ensure contemporary best practices are met.
Skills & Experience Required
* Resilience & Integrity: Proven ability to deal effectively with pressure, remain optimistic under adversity, and maintain a high level of ethics and integrity in a complex environment.
* Communication & Diplomacy: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive interpersonal situations and minimize potential conflict.
* Recruitment Expertise: Experience in an advisory or business partnering role, specifically involving volume recruitment and the design of selection tools.
* Technical Proficiency: High level of proficiency with Recruitment Information Systems, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint.
* Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or equivalent professional experience.
