Overview
St Bernadette's is seeking an enthusiastic Performing Arts teacher to work with our Prep to Yr 6 students. Be creative with dance, song, music and drama in a supportive collaborative school environment. While not a production year, the position allows for creativity and flair with the potential of a show choir.
This is a part time position - Wednesday and Thursday - commencing Term 1 2026.
Responsibilities
- be able to plan and implement a highly-structured Performing Arts programme that connects to the Victorian curriculum
- be able to work in a supportive team environment and have the capacity to establish, contribute to and maintain positive workplace relationships
- engage in contemporary, evidence-based practices with proven ability to differentiate learning for students
- show a willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school
- have an understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and be committed to its mission
- be committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care
Special Requirements
- accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school or a willingness to undertake studies if the position became ongoing
- current Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration (provide proof)
- include the contact details of three referees
- include copy of photo ID
