We are committed to fostering excellence in academics, sports, performing arts, leadership and service and seek to inspire and nurture confident, optimistic and compassionate young people who are World Ready.ResponsibilitiesLearn to Swim Instructor ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality, engaging, and fun swimming lessons that meet program expectations.Create a secure and enjoyable learning environment for all students.Help students enhance their water safety knowledge and skills.Assist in the development of new and existing swim programs.Conduct student evaluations with precision and accuracy.Pool Lifeguard ResponsibilitiesKeep a close watch on the pool area, anticipating and swiftly responding to potential risks.Administer first-aid and resuscitation when needed.Ensure everyone follows the facility rules while promoting safe aquatic practices.Take proactive measures to guarantee the safety and well-being of patrons and equipment.Provide excellent customer service, address questions, and complete daily checklists.What We're Looking ForFlexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to providing top-notch experiences.Motivation and accountability to perform your best every day.Passionate about promoting water safety and fostering a positive environment.Essential QualificationsLearn to Swim and/or Lifeguard CertificateWorking with Children Blue CardCurrent First Aid and CPR CertificatesDesirable: Teacher of Babies and Toddlers and Teacher of Learners with a Disability certificationsWhy Join Canterbury CollegeAt Canterbury, our mantra is "Different Together."
